“The Calgary Chamber of Commerce is pleased to see Alberta and Ottawa reach an agreement to harmonize approval processes and accelerate major projects in the province through alignment on Environmental and Impact Assessments. This agreement is a strong example of both provincial and federal governments adapting to the ways in which our economy is evolving by addressing policy inconsistencies. Canada must act swiftly to assess and approve projects, providing the certainty businesses need to attract investment and build the infrastructure required to grow our economy – and this agreement is a strong step in that direction.
