Alberta Pulse Growers Commission

Alberta Pulse Growers Commission

Alberta Pulse Growers Commission (APG) is a not-for-profit organization based in Leduc, dedicated to supporting over 5,400 Alberta farmers who grow pulses such as field peas, dry beans, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans, lupins and faba beans.
Funded through a refundable levy of 0.75% on cash sales of pulse crops, APG invests in research, marketing, advocacy, and extension activities to strengthen the industry and support its members.
With five zones and a farmer-elected Board of 12 Directors, APG works to promote the benefits of pulses, both in sustainable crop rotations and as a key part of a healthy diet. Through strategic initiatives, we aim to enhance the sustainability, profitability, and visibility of pulse production across Alberta.
Pulses are good – for you and for Alberta farms – and we’re committed to ensuring everyone knows it.
