Vanessa Cartwright

Director, Policy and Government Relations

Vanessa is a senior policy and government relations leader with over 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate complex political, regulatory and stakeholder environments. As Director of Policy and Government Relations at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, she works to advance policies that strengthen competitiveness, enable investment and support long term economic growth.
She brings expertise in stakeholder and Indigenous engagement and public affairs, with a track record of aligning advocacy strategies with business priorities. Vanessa is known for building strong relationships across government, industry and community to drive practical, solutions focused outcomes.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution from the University of Victoria.
Outside of work, Vanessa is an avid runner and enjoys spending time in the mountains and volunteering in her community.

Policy Advisor | Calgary Chamber of Commerce

Dan has worked at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce in progressive policy roles, prior to this Dan worked across a few federal departments, focusing on regulatory policy, infrastructure design and export development.
