About

Join us for another Mental Health Monday as the Calgary Chamber explores trauma-informed leadership and how understanding the impacts of trauma can help leaders create more supportive, compassionate and psychologically safe workplaces. This session will examine how trauma can influence behaviours, communication and workplace experiences, while highlighting the role leaders play in fostering environments where employees feel supported and understood.

This session will share practical insights and strategies to help leaders recognize signs of distress, respond with empathy and incorporate trauma-informed practices into everyday workplace interactions. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how these experiences can affect the workplace and the ways leaders can help build trust, connection and a stronger sense of belonging.

About Mental Health Mondays

Join us for Mental Health Mondays, a monthly event series dedicated to fostering open, supportive conversations about mental well-being in our community.

In partnership with our Mental Health Pillar Partner, Cenovus, these sessions go beyond the workplace covering a wide range of topics that impact both our professional and personal lives. Each month, a thought leader from one of Calgary’s leading mental health organizations will guide the conversation, share resources and be available to answer your questions.

This series is also about building a sense of community—whether you’re personally navigating mental health challenges, supporting someone who is, or simply wanting to learn more. Whether you’re a business leader, team member or community partner, you’ll gain valuable tools, insights and connections to strengthen well-being for yourself and those around you.

Together, let’s build a healthier, more resilient Calgary, because we’re always better together.
