Calgary Chamber Board thanks interim CEO, Murray Sigler

The following statement is attributable to Brent Cooper, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce:

Calgary, June 24, 2021 – “On behalf of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, it is my great pleasure to thank Murray Sigler for his leadership over the past several months. Mr. Sigler has led the Chamber through one of the most challenging times for business and has worked tirelessly to guide its work in support of Calgary’s business community.

Under Mr. Sigler’s strong leadership, the Chamber has continued to serve members during a crucial time, including through advocating for government support programs, connecting businesses to foster new and innovative collaborations, and hosting leaders and decision-makers from business, government, and community. Critically, during Mr. Sigler’s time, the Chamber has helped businesses transition to a new virtual world and provided tools and resources to businesses to support them as they take first steps toward pandemic recovery.

We are grateful for Mr. Sigler’s thoughtful and humble leadership and know he will continue on as a passionate business and community leader in whatever he chooses to do next. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
