Address climate change through innovation
Our vision is a net-zero world in which the Alberta’s energy industry is competitive and is a leader in innovation and emissions reduction technology. To address climate change and ensure long-term economic prosperity, Alberta will need to lead the energy transition and provide reliable, affordable and clean energy to the world.
Make it easier to do business
We need to make it simple and straightforward to start, scale-up, and grow a business in Calgary. We also need an ecosystem that facilitates business-to-business and business-to-consumer connections and collaborations.
Rebalance and stabilize property taxes
Calgary should be a competitive and stable place to do business, supported by fair and equitable contributions from residents and businesses to support service delivery and community well-being.
Reimagine Calgary’s downtown
Our vision is that the heart of Calgary’s incredible community is a vibrant downtown – a place for all Calgarians to come together, where we choose to live, work, and play.
Create an inclusive community
Our vision is a city and economy that is inclusive, safe, and provides opportunity for everyone, particularly those economically or socially marginalized.
Expand trade and market access
We envision a competitive and resilient trade landscape that allows for greater labour mobility within provinces and facilitates strong interprovincial and international trade relationships.
Fiscal sustainability and competitive taxation
We envision a fair and robust tax system that is simple and efficient to navigate, competitive with other jurisdictions and supports long-term fiscal stability.
Diversification and long-term economic resiliency
We envision a diversified economy that enables talent to thrive across sectors, provides greater fiscal stability and creates opportunities for businesses in all industries to succeed. Diversification must include and go beyond our traditional sectors of strength.
