Calgary, AB – March 13, 2025 – The Calgary Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce RBC as our new Inclusion Pillar Partner. This dynamic partnership will provide entrepreneurs of all backgrounds with access to programs and networks, with a special emphasis on supporting women entrepreneurs in developing and growing their businesses.
“We’re thrilled to welcome RBC as the Calgary Chamber’s Inclusion Pillar Partner. At the Chamber, we believe advancing inclusion is not just important to building a stronger, more innovative and resilient economy – it is essential,” says Deborah Yedlin, President & CEO of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. “Supporting women entrepreneurs is a critical part of achieving that goal, ensuring they have the opportunities, resources and networks needed to be successful. Our partnership with RBC reflects a shared commitment to advancing women in business, breaking down barriers, increasing access to capital and fostering a more inclusive entrepreneurial landscape."
Through event partnership, resource access, programming and thought leadership, RBC will play an active role in advancing meaningful conversations and initiatives that shape Calgary’s workplace culture.
Additionally, the partnership includes reducing the financial barriers to Calgary Chamber membership for women entrepreneurs and professionals by providing access to the Chamber network, funding 12 memberships for emerging female entrepreneurs.
Through this partnership, both RBC and the Calgary Chamber reinforce our shared dedication to fostering a more inclusive and supportive business environment. The collaboration will create opportunities for growth, particularly for women entrepreneurs, by offering invaluable tools, access to a tremendous network and support.
“Entrepreneurs contribute to Calgary's strength through job creation, innovation and economic growth,” says Kirk Muise, Regional President for RBC in Alberta and the Territories. “This partnership will provide entrepreneurs access to programs and networks that can help them thrive. A key piece of the partnership that we’re looking forward to includes supporting women entrepreneurs in growing their business.”
This partnership is a pivotal step in advancing the Calgary Chamber’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Strategy, which focuses on three key priorities: (1) advancing an internal culture that reflects our commitment to inclusion; (2) connecting members with resources to advance inclusion in their own businesses; and (3) using our voice and platform to amplify others and advocate for an inclusive economy. By facilitating and supporting resource sharing, thought leadership, access to Chamber memberships, and boldly committing to the Inclusion Pillar Partnership with RBC, we will accelerate the Chamber’s efforts to bolster inclusion both within our Chamber network and across the Calgary business community.
RBC is proud to embody a culture of inclusivity and belonging, creating, enhancing and supporting opportunities that help employees, clients and communities thrive. Their commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace is central to their continued success as one of the largest and most successful banks in the world.
