Goodlawyer named 2022 ATB Small Business of the Year

Calgary, October 21, 2022 - Founded in 2019, Goodlawyer aims to make legal help more accessible to all. Goodlawyer’s founder Brett Colvin was working at one of Canada's largest law firms as a corporate lawyer, when he saw firsthand that most people cannot afford the legal services they need, as firm rates were out of reach for many. Colvin teamed up with a developer and a designer, left the firm, and started Goodlawyer, which has helped over 4,500 entrepreneurs to date.

“Calgary’s small business community continues to advance our city’s economic future with innovative solutions, and Goodlawyer is a shining example of a small business challenging and disrupting the norm,” says Deborah Yedlin, President and CEO, Calgary Chamber of Commerce. “We received nearly 140 nominations this year, a signal that Calgary’s small business community is strong and growing. Tonight, we recognize and celebrate those who make foundational contributions to our community and economy.”
