Already ranked as one of the best places to live and work, Alberta’s long-term recovery and a future with opportunities for our children will depend on the creativity, grit and determination of entrepreneurial Calgarians and the innovative thinkers in our economy.

Stability today

We are collaborating with stakeholders, locally and across Canada, to inform, support and advocate for economic resiliency and recovery initiatives from all levels of government. What we need from the federal government is payroll tax relief, rent relief and loan forgiveness in the short term, and liquidity made available for small and mid-sized companies in the long-term, in all likelihood for the next three years.

Stability for the future

We need our government, business and community leaders to develop a national vision for our natural resources – to responsibly develop Canada’s resources and address climate change. Alberta has expertise across the entire spectrum of energy – from enhanced oil recovery to natural gas electrification to alternative energy like wind, solar and biomass. Alberta can take the lead in providing the energy the world needs while addressing climate change.

Accelerate the adoption of advanced technology

Engage initiatives that will accelerate the adoption of advanced technology and support innovation across the entire business ecosystem, from start-ups to small and medium-size businesses to major corporations. If we nourish, empower and inspire our business community, we can apply this advanced technology to resolve some of the world’s biggest challenges – cleaner energy, safe and secure food, more efficient transportation and better digital health solutions.
