Alberta has everything it needs: an attractive environment for business, a skilled workforce, a reputation as a great place to live and work. The mission is to develop a plan to remove any barriers to success.

Build a focused plan for a stable future

Alberta has a number of key industries; energy, agriculture, geology, mining, forestry, hospitality, tourism, supply chain management, health sciences and technology. We propose bringing together key stakeholders in in each industry to create collaborative networks to identify issues and opportunities. Getting the broad economy firing on all cylinders will have great impact on jobs.

Remove interprovincial and international trade barriers.

Alberta has what the world needs. Along with internal trade barriers, a lack of market access across many sectors has limited our businesses from getting their products to foreign markets. Additionally, the inability to move major energy projects to market has resulted in uncertainty and cost Albertans billions in potential tax revenue. The Chamber is working with business and all levels of government to turn this tide.
